MSEUF Wildcats proved their talents at the Quezon PRISAA cultural as they clinched golds on Mutya ng PRISAA and Vocal Duet competition and a bronze on Vocal Solo, held at AEC Little Theater, Feb. 8.
Miss Enverga 2018 Immanuel Espiritu hailed as queen in the Mutya ng PRISAA 2019.
The same queen also grabbed the awards of Best in Talent and Best in Sports Wear.
Meanwhile, Jomari Tulabing, BS Tourism Management-I and Joanna Marie Rubio, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management-I, slayed the stage with their rendition of the song “Last Night of the World” from the Miss Saigon and won the title of the Vocal Duet competition.
The two singers express their gratitude for the award and shared that it was a memorable experience especially that they brought pride for the university.
“We’re so happy to win the championship award in the Cluster Competition of PRISAA Vocal Duet Competition 2019. Especially that we brought so much pride to our University and we would like to share the happiness we felt joining that competition. It’s a very memorable experience we’ll never forget for the rest of our lives, and this chance enhanced our confidence in performing in a huge crowd. This victory tastes sweeter because we know that it is the product of our hardship, Tulabing said.”
“Though, we already performed in different events either big or small. Of course, we still feel tensed to stand on the stage with each other because inside our pockets is the name of our University. But still, we did our best and we are so proud with our performance, because we absorbed the message of the song and we executed the emotions effectively. We are so much happy with our performance, Rubio said.”
Moreover, Diadelyn Tano, I-BS Architecture, earned the third spot of the Vocal Solo with her heartfelt performance of the song “Defying Gravity” by Idina Menzel.
